Spider’s Web

Today, most of the people are talking about the King of Pop’s sudden death, Michael Jackson, due to the cardiac arrest. It’s very sad because all of the sudden the world has lost the most genuine and genius musician ever. Despite his fame, Michael had some problems such as fragility, loneliness, stress and depression that he has dealt for years until this sudden death.
Michael’s life reminds me of the verse from the book of Job. Like Michael, it’s very human that eventually we might feel fragile. We can also forget about Him, perish our hope, then trust to something else. But, Job reminds us when we don’t put trust in the Lord, it seems like we’re relying on a spider’s web. We might lean on it; but it gives way. We cling to it, but it doesn’t hold.
Spider’s web taught me to stay firm in God. Never find another! Because there is none like Him. (-fon-)

Such is the destiny of all who forget God;
so perishes the hope of the godless.
What he trusts in is fragile ;
what he relies on is a spider's web.
He leans on his web, but it gives way;
he clings to it, but it does not hold.
--- Job 8:13-15
