--- Luke 11:34

Well, of course I’m not talking about myopia or hyperopia (nearsightedness or farsightedness) and stuffs. I’m talking about the healthiness of our spiritual eyes. The way to see, the perspective, the point of view… As well as the mind. Let’s pray that our spiritual eyes are healthy so that our whole body is full of light… (-fon-)

TOTD, 30 November – God is Love

God is Love

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

--- 1 John 4:7-8

We’ll be able to love one another if only we cling to God’s love. Because God is love.

If we think that we can do it on our own, we’ll stressed out. We’ll face lots of disappointments from others. Only God’s love will heal us. Only by God’s love and grace, we’ll experience love and peace in this world. (-fon-)

TOTD, November 19 – The Seed on Good Soil

The Seed on Good Soil

In the book of Luke chapter 8: 1-15, we can see the Parable of the Sower. When the farmer went out to sow his seeds, some fell along the path-some fell on rocky ground- others fell among thorns and some fell on the good soil.

Further explanation about this parable:

This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.

---Luke 8:11,15

Hopefully, we can experience the seed that fell on good soil which stands for the noble and good hearted people. Who will hear the word, retain it and by persevering produce a crop. Let the world see the magnificent wonder of God in our daily life. (-fon-)

TOTD, November 18 – Give Thanks in All Circumstances

Give Thanks in All Circumstances

It’s so easy to give thanks to the Lord when we’re happy and successful. When we got promotion, when we passed the exams with flying colors, when we got what we want. But even in those happy times, sadly: God has sometimes been forgotten. We’re too overwhelmed by those wonderful feelings and forgot to thank the One who gave us all of that.

If it’s the other way around: what if things are pretty bad. They’re not going our ways, we fail in business, or we had some financial difficulties, etc. Are we still able to see His Goodness with a grateful heart? Can we still give thanks to the Lord? Let’s start to give thanks to Him in all circumstances. (-fon-)

The Fountain of Life

For with you is the fountain of life;

TOTD, November 12 – Never Unheard

Never Unheard

The cry of the human soul is never unheard. It is never that God does not hear the cry, but that man fails to hear the response. (God Calling Oct 19th).

When you think that you’re running out of tears and God doesn’t come to help you… This is the time to remember that He will always hear us. Our prayers, our afflictions, pains, and sufferings are never unheard. Just trust Him once more and cast all our cares to Him and let Him lead our way. (-fon-)

You, LORD, hear the desire of the afflicted;
you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,

--- Psalm 10:17

Increase Your Speed with His Strength

Remember that life's difficulties and troubles are not intended to arrest your progress, but to increase your speed. (God Calling 10 Nov)

Difficulties and troubles might bring us down. But never forget that they’re not intended to arrest our progress but to increase our speed instead. Never give up so easily. Strive for success because we know that we can count on Him. Whenever we’re weary, we can communicate with Him and find a new strength in Him. Increase your speed…! (-fon-)

“The LORD is my strength and my defense;
he has become my salvation.
He is my God, and I will praise him,
my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

TOTD, November 10 – Straining Toward What is Ahead

Straining Toward What is Ahead

The past was over. The failure-the sadness-the anger: it was there but it’s over. Sometimes people tend to think too much of it, lock it inside of them heart, trapped without knowing how to move on. In God, we believe that there’s nothing that’s too hard to do. Bring all the bad things to God and believe that He will heal us, as long as we cooperate with Him and want to let it go.

Then, it’s our duty to look forward. Living our present life joyfully and straining toward what is ahead. Believe that God will lead us to win the prize of life in Him. (-fon-)

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

--- Philippians 3:13-14

(-fon-)

Surely God is good to Israel,
to those who are pure in heart.

--- Psalm 73:1

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

--- Matthew 7:12

The Bible reminds us to do to others what we should have them do to us. Let’s remember this and treat other people better. (-fon-)

TOTD, November 06-07 – About Judging Others

Do Not Judge

It’s really hard to do so when we’re so getting used to it. See others and then start to have our own perspective of it. But we really need to try our best in reducing judging other people… Because nobody likes being judged anyway. (-fon-)

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.

--- Matthew 7:1

Judging Measurement

For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

--- Matthew 7:2

If we easily judge others with the measurement that we use while doing so, let’s remember that the measurement itself will be measured to us. So, reduce judging people and keep looking down on others. (-fon-)
