The Perfect Work of Patience

When we have trials, we grow, or at least we can grow, if we let patience have her perfect work.

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
--- James 1:4

My own reflection on this Thought:
* It's sad, it's hard, it's painful when we have to face trials. But the result of it sometimes unbelievable. We grow more mature.
It's normal when we're afraid of trials, but if we remember the reward that's waiting after that, we would be glad because God gives us those trials. (-fon-)

Speak Powerful Words

Words are containers for power! They can carry creative or destructive power. Since God's Word is full of life and life-giving power, a wise person will learn and speak the Word of God rather than any other word.

... the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
--- John 6:63

My own reflection on this Thought:
* God's Words are powerful. As a Christian, we need to fill our mind with His Words rather than the negative words. Try to fill our mind each day with His Words, then you'll see the difference! (-fon-)

TOTD, August 29

Be the Best "You"!

God's grace will never be available to you to become another person. He created you to be you --- the best "you" you can be! Forget trying to be someone else.

But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
--- Ephesians 4:7

My own reflection on this Thought:
* In your imagination, have you ever wondered what your life would be if you become: Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Victoria Beckham, Tamara Blezinski, or Ari Wibowo? Or maybe the winner of a noble prize?
Well, God has never wanted us to become another person. All He asks of us: is just being content and try to live our life to the fullest in Him.
We have our own strength and weaknesses, He just want us to bring our best in this life.
Be the best us, that's the best thing to do! (-fon-)

TOTD, August 28

Walk Free

Jesus understands our weaknesses and infirmities, but He does not want us to use His understanding nature as an excuse to stay in sin that is producing bondage in our lives.

He convicts us of sin, but He never condemns us. He brings conviction so that we can see our errors, admit them, be truly sorry, repent, and receive the power of the Holy Spirit. We can then allow Him to enable us to walk free from the thing which has been sin in our lives.

For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand an sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.
--- Hebrews 4:15

My own reflection on this Thought:
* We want to be free from our sins. Of course, we can't make it on our own. We need God's guidance. God understands us. He will forgive us for the things we've done, as long as we repent and truly sorry for that.
(-fon-)

TOTD, August 27

God Will Make a Way!

God has not forgotten you. At the exact right time, He will make a way where there seems to be no way!

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
--- Isaiah 43:19

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Maybe you're in a deadlock. A condition that can't be change and seems that no way out.
But as Christian, we got to believe that God will make a way where there seems to be no way, that's our duty to believe.
It's the time to develop our faith. Faith enables us to believe what we haven't seen, because we trust in Him. (-fon-)

TOTD, August 24-26

Say, "No," to Doubt!

Since you can choose your own thoughts, when doubt comes you should learn to recognize it for what it is, say, " No thank you" --- and keep on believing!

No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God.
--- Romans 4:20

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Doubt would be there in everyday of our life. It's not an easy thing to face it, but as God's children, we ought to say NO to doubt and just keep our faith. (-fon-)

Keep a Good Attitude

Don't let the devil ruin your day by taking a hurt and allowing it to poison your attitude.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds.
--- James 1:2

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Take trials as pure joy?
The Word of God from James 1:2 sounds a little bit irrational. How come we could take problems as joy?
Following God all these time, made me realize that lots of things might be irrational. When God is at work, He even make impossible things come true.
So, with God it is possible to take trials as pure joy, because we know those trials would bring us closer to Him and make us become a better person in Him. (-fon-)

Reason to Praise

There are many things to be thankful for if we decide we are going to be a person who continually offers up thanksgiving. The flesh looks for things to complain about, but the spirit searches for reasons to give God glory.

Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].
--- 1 Thessalonians 5:18

My own reflection on this Thought:
* While so many changes happened in my life recently, I started to complain some time ago. But now, thank God, I don't do it anymore.

Complaining about everything is so easy. Because with negativity that we have, it's easy to see the loop hole in everything.
But, imagine that we're wearing faith soft lenses, we won't be complaining that much . Then we start to praise and be thankful for every little thing that God has given to us. Because we trust God, that everything happens in our life only for our own good. (-fon-)

TOTD, August 23

Destined to Win

God desires to restore you and me to our rightful position of authority in Christ. We were born destined for the throne, not the ash heap of life.

It wasn't so long ago that you were mired in that old stagnant life of sin. You let the world, which doesn't know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. We all did it... It's a wonder God didn't do way with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah.
--- Ephesians 2:1-6

My own reflection on this Thought:
* We believe our own perspective. We believe what we've been taught since we're small even sometimes the teaching that we've got is proven to be a wrong one.
When we accept Jesus Christ as our Saviour, we know that we've been practicing some things that are totally different with His Teachings.
That's the time when we need to change our perspective with Christ-alike and be a winner in this life.
Surrender our previous wrong thoughts and change it with a good one from our God.

Struggle Develops Strength

Before the caterpillar enters the cocoon, to get from one place to another he has to crawl slowly and laboriously along on the ground or on a blade or twig. But then he spins a cocoon and crawls into it for a while. When he emerges from that cocoon he has been totally changed. He has become a butterfly, one of the freest of God's creatures. He can soar through the air on beautiful wings. But to emerge from that cocoon is a struggle, one that is necessary for the butterfly's full transformation and development.

I once read about a man who saw butterfly struggling to emerge from a cocoon. Moved by misplaced compassion, the man decided to help the poor creature, so he broke open the cocoon and pulled the developing butterfly out. In just a matter of minutes the weakened creature curled up and died.

If we didn't struggle through some things, we would never develop the strength and stamina we need to survive in this world.

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you.
--- 1 Peter 5:10

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Reading this TOTD, I just told myself that I need to endure in times of troubles. When I struggle, that's when God's strength would be given to me... So, I would be patient in every single trial that I need to face. Hopefully, I can be His good disciple :)
(-fon-)

TOTD, August 21

The Hand That Receives

Faith is not the price that buys God's blessings; it is the hand that receives His blessing. First Corinthians 6:20 tells us that the price was paid for us by Jesus Christ on the cross.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.
--- Ephesians 1:3

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Faith is the hand that receives His Blessings.
His Blessings would never end. We could never imagine, how many blessings that God has already prepared for us.
Receives His Blessings today. Just believe that His Blessings will be there for you. Amen. (-fon-)

TOTD, August 20

Faith Is Confidence in God

Confidence and faith are virtually synonymous; sometimes they can be interchanged without losing the content of what is being said at all. Faith can be defined as confidence in God. In simple terms, faith is knowing that if God has said He will do something, He will do it. Even if it doesn't look like He is doing it right now, it will come to pass in His timing, if we will remain confident in Him. Don't loose your confidence.

And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [ we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us.
And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.
--- 1 John 5:14,15

My own reflection on this Thought:
* When things are easy and everything runs smoothly, it's so easy to put our confidence in God.
But, as this life of ours is unpredictable, it's so hard to tell when the happy things would end and the problems keep coming.
The question is: would our faith stand still in times of trouble?
It's not an easy thing. Sometimes the problem is too big, so that we thought it would never have any solution.
But, our task is just believe. Keep believing in Him even the situation in our life runs on the other way around.
Keep the faith, never loose our confidence in Him. (-fon-)

TOTD, August 17-19

The Name Prevails!

A pastor friend of mine was driving through an intersection one day and his little three - or four- year old son was in the car with him. He did not realize that the car door on the passenger side was not secured tightly, and he made a sharp turn. This happened before seat belt laws were passed, and the child was not wearing one. The car door flew open, and the little boy rolled out of the vehicle right into the middle of four-way traffic! The last thing my friend saw was a set of fast-moving car wheels just about to run over his son. All he knew to do was cry, "Jesus!"
As soon as he stopped his car, he jumped out and ran to his son, who was perfectly all right. But the man driving the car that had almost hit the child was hysterical. My friend tried to comfort him.
" Don't be upset!" he said. " My son is all right. Just thank God you were able to stop!"
" You don't understand!" the man responded, " I never touched my brakes!"

This was a crisis situation. There was no time for anyone to do anything, no time to think, plan, or reason. Although there was nothing man could do, the Name of Jesus prevailed. Miracle-working power came on the scene, and the boy's life was spared. (See Proverbs 18:10).

My own reflection on this Thought:
* The story above reminds us once again that His Name is really powerful.
Even when we could never think of anything in such a critical situation, He comes to our rescue.
Maybe today, we're facing such a critical situation, such a challenging life that may lead us to think we won't have the strength to go on. Just remember once again, as I remind myself, that He's able to save us even in the most unbelievably pathetic situation that we're facing. (-fon-)

Grow in Relationship

Suspicion cripples an entire relationship and usually destroys it. Trust and faith bring joy to life and help relationships grow to their maximum potential.

May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.
--- Romans 15:13

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Based on other people's past, it's easy for us to judge them.
Based on their disloyalty, it's easy to say that they won't be loyal forever.
But, who are we to judge others?
To help us grow a healthy relationship, we have to get rid of the suspicion.
(-fon-)

God's Power Is Impressive

Don't be impressed by the problem. Be impressed by God's power.

... What is impossible with men is possible with God.
--- Luke 18:27

My own reflection on this Thought:
* What is impossible with men, is possible with God.
That's really true.
Even we thought that we don't have any way out from our current situation, but if God wants to, it's possible.
All we have to do is just keep our faith in Him and trust Him all the way (-fon-)

TOTD, August 16

Bigger Problem, Bigger Grace

You and I don't have a problem that is too big for the grace of God. If our problem gets bigger, God's grace gets bigger.

Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.
--- Romans 5:20

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Isn't that really so? You might ask that question after reading today's thought.
Yes, it is.
Even though it's hard for us to see, but actually it's true that God's grace would bigger if we're facing bigger problems.
We can't see the result now, but we need to see it gradually.
Yes, I ask myself to endure when bigger problems come, because I know that God's grace is enough to see me through.
Not easy but again, worth to try... (-fon-)

TOTD, August 15

Straighten Up Your Thinking!

Since what we think about eventually comes out of our mouths, we will never get out mouths straightened out unless we do something about our thoughts.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
--- Philippians 4:8

My own reflection on this Thought:
* If we feel very distracted in our thoughts, let's ask Jesus, " Please fill our mind with Your thoughts, Jesus..."
I'm sure that it can help.
I myself find it hard to cope with the negativity, but let's try together to make our thoughts right. If it seems impossible, invite Jesus to come and change our thoughts so that the peace from Him would fill us... (-fon-)

TOTD, August 14

Wield the Word

Learn the Word and allow the Holy Spirit in you to wield it --- the sword of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit comes in you when you make Jesus Lord of your life and ask Him to fill you with His Spirit. You wield the Word by speaking, singing, or meditating the portions of Scripture that you feel He is placing on your heart. The devil hates the Word, and according to Matthew 4:10,11, speaking the Word causes Him to leave you alone.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
--- Ephesians 6:17

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Praying by meditating the Word of God with the minister with the Holy Spirit would make the Words rhyme inside of our hearts.
When the Words rhyme it would be sure that our mind, thoughts, and action would develop into a better one, a more Christ-like one...
So, even if you're just too busy, read a verse or a chapter at one time would make a difference. If you don't believe me, just try it...(-fon-)

TOTD, August 13

Tear Down the Walls

As God continues to reveal you the walls in your life, you must bring each one of them down --- by faith! Let Him help you tear down the self-made walls, so He can become a wall of protection to you.

By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.
--- Hebrews 11:30

My own reflection on this Thought:
* We have our self-made walls, our pride, our thoughts, our worries, etc.
God wants us to surrender ourselves to Him, so that He can enter our heart and become our wall of protection, our strong tower!
Let Him reveal those walls from our life and renew them with His love... (-fon-)

TOTD, August 10-12

Faith in the Name

Victory is not in having the Name of the Lord to use; victory is in having faith in the Name of Jesus and using it properly. Be careful not to use His Name frivolously or to no real purpose. We should revere His Name.

By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see.
--- Acts 3:16

My own reflection on this Thought:
* His Name is powerful. So, never use His Name as a joke. That's the message of today's thought. In His Name, we put our faith, that everything would bow down.
If we have a problem in praying, just pray the Name. (-fon-)

Make the Most of Time

Indecision wastes a lot of time, and time is too precious to waste. Become a decisive person, and you will accomplish a lot more with less effort.

Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil.
--- Ephesians 5:16

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Time is precious, never waste it.
We usually like to delay something without realizing the effect of the delay would be so serious.
Make the very most of this time. (-fon-)

Never Fear Rejection

In order to sustain healthy, loving, lasting relationships, a person must not fear rejection. When this fear becomes the motivation factor in the life of an individual, they will spend their time trying to avoid it rather than building healthy relationships.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and self-discipline.
--- 2 Timothy 1:7

My own reflection on this Thought:
* God gives us a spirit of power. That's what we might forget. Sometimes in this life, we have so many things that we're afraid of, but never forget that we have His power within us through the Holy Spirit.
In case that we feel we're unable, just remember that He is Able! (-fon-)

TOTD, August 09

Keep Your Eyes on the Prize

If you want to develop your potential and succeed at being all you can be, keep your eyes on the prize and press on! It won't be easy, but it all be worthwhile.

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.
--- 1 Corinthians 9:24

My own reflection on this Thought:
* The whole process of being a better person is long and winding, full of ups and downs. It's good to know that if we just focus on Him, on the prize that He's been preparing all this time, we'll be relieved that we've changed into a better person, closer to His Plan for us.
Just keep our faith in Him, no matter what! (-fon-)

Dwell in Love

No matter how much God loves you, if you are not conscious and aware of it, it is not going to do you any good.
You know how good it makes you feel if somebody really shows you a lot of love? You feel so warm and wonderful that you could just take the world by the tail because you know somebody loves you.

God loves you, and He wants to show you that love, but He can only show it to you when you spend time with Him on a daily basis.

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
--- 1 John 4:16

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Today, maybe you're in a huge hatred towards somebody.
Today, maybe you're in a very angry situation that you can't see or feel any love surrounds you.
Today, you're not alone in feeling those things.
I've been in such conditions before and still fighting to struggle the present ones.
The most important thing is to make decision: to start seeking God more to share those feelings: those hatred, anger, bitterness, and let Him take control with His Love.
He Is Love, so don't worry, He'll have enough love to share to us. (-fon-)

God Can Turn It Around

God does not bring our trouble, Satan does. The devil has our destruction in mind, but God turns it around and uses it for our good.

"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done ..."
--- Genesis 50:20

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Reading the Words above, only made me realize that we're so weak.
That there's a lot of force in this world including the evil one that could destroy us.
But with God, everything's different. If we believe in Him, even if the most destructive moment in our life can bring us good, if He wants to...
(-fon-)

TOTD, August 06

Do the Word!

The more you meditate on, ponder on, or think about the Word of God, the more you will be able to readily draw upon its strength in times of trouble. The power to do the Word comes from the practice of meditating on it.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night , that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
--- Joshua 1:8

My own reflection on this Thought:
* The Word of God is powerful. There's no doubt about it.
But, how can we really make the most of it? We need to know it by reading it.
If we've never read about it, we would never know the content of it, and of course we can't even meditate on it.
So, read the word, meditate on it, and pray for the Holy Spirit to minister us, so that those words would be our weapon in this unpredictable life. (-fon-)

Finish with Joy

Whatever you do, if you are obeying Scripture and doing it unto the Lord, you should not only start the course with joy but also finish it the same way.

"However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me --- the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace."
--- Acts 20:24

My own reflection on this Thought:
* The Acts 20:24 above attracts me most with its sentence which says, " I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me."
This life of ours is a race. A race of Christ's disciple because we believe in Him.
So, we should do our best in completing the race, the task that Christ has already given to us with dignity, with joy.
That thing can only happened if we do this for the Lord and build a good relationship with Him. (-fon-)

Be on Top of Things

There is a big difference between being under stress and being on top of the situation!

If you will listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
And the Lord shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath...
--- Deuteronomy 28:1,13

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Whatever the situation that we're facing, even if it's the most stressful one, God's guidance will always be there for us.
He can lead us to be on top of the situation and not dwelling in the stressful condition.
If we draw ourselves closer to Him, we'll have enough strength to go on in this life. (-fon-)

The Price of Peace

From a spiritual position, it was Jesus' Blood, which He shed on the cross for our redemption, that bought our peace.
But from a practical or natural position, the price we must pay for peace is a willingness to change our approach to life. We will never enjoy peace without a willingness to adjust and adapt ourselves.

Jesus has provided His peace --- enjoy it!

Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives go I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid...
--- John 14: 27

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Being a stranger in a country outside Indonesia, made me realize how true today's TOTD is.
Everything here looks so different and there are so many things that I haven't got used to, made me quite stressful in the first place.
There was no peace inside of me for quite some time, but then today's Word reminds me that the peace would come only if I want to adjust and adapt myself.
It also goes without saying that everyone of us has our own problems.
Our willingness to change for the better- in Him- would bring us peace.
Change now, me first. Change now with His guidance. Amen (-fon-)

Safety in God's Timing

There is timing for all things in our lives, and there is safety in being in God's perfect timing.

Because to every purpose there is time and judgment...
--- Ecclesiastes 8:6

My own reflection on this Thought:
* When I face a failure, sometimes it's hard for me to accept that. I sometimes wonder, is it not His timing yet???
After remaining in silent for a while, I came to realize that every single thing happen in my life only by His permission, that means within His perfect timing and not mine.
If I haven't got what I want, I have to be more patient to wait for His beautiful time to come to my life.
How about you? :) (-fon-)

Know the LORD

If you read the Word and spend time with the Lord every day, then you will progressively get to know Him. If you know Him, you also know the Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent God --- the One Who is all powerful, all knowing, and everywhere all the time.

When you really know Him, you can be calm and let Him do what only He can do --- bless you and carry out His good plan for your life.

Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.
--- Isaiah 46:9,10

My own reflection on this Thought:
* God only wants the best in our life, He will never leave us. By spending more time with Him in our prayers, we will build a relationship with Him.
By doing so, we will get to know Him better and that's when we build our faith and trust more and more to HIM.
Trust Him with all our hearts, starting today! (-fon-)

God Is in Control

God really does know what He is doing. He really is in control. You can relax and know that even if you do not know what your are going to do, you do know the One Who does know.

" For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, " plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
--- Jeremiah 29:11

My own reflection on this Thought:
* If you're in a distracted condition, don't know what to do, don't know where to go, don't even know what the future would be...
Trust me, you're not the only one who's been through this.
I've been and sometimes still in that condition. You are not alone.
Today's word of God is such a relieving and soothing one. To know that even we don't know anything about our future, but we have our God who knows everything.
He even has planned those things before we're born into this world.
All we need to do is just trust Him... (-fon-)

Think Success

We are not walking in the Word if our thoughts are opposite of what it says. We are not walking in the Word if we are not thinking in the Word.

This book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.
--- Joshua 1:8

My own reflection on this Thought:
* By reading and thinking of the Word every time, we will have a positive mindset.
We'll grow in faith and hope to our God. Straighten up our thinking is important to lessen worries, fears, and distractions. Pray to God to straighten our thinking!
(-fon-)

TOTD, July 27-29

Protected by the Blood

Jesus shed His Blood on the cross and paid for our sins. In return, we receive salvation and freedom to enjoy a peaceful, happy life by the Blood; we also receive protection by the Blood. To receive that protection we need to learn how to "use" the Blood.

We use the Blood by putting in on or allying it on our lives and homes. How do we do that? We do it by faith. We do it by simply saying, in faith, " I put the Blood of Jesus on my life and my home."

Start applying the Blood today to your hang-ups, your bondages, those things that you just cannot seem to conquer. Don't use your energy trying to conquer; use it in personal time spent with the Lord in worship, praise, thanksgiving, and fellowship. Jesus is the Conquering Hero, not you and I.

The blood shall be for a token or sign to you upon [the doorposts of] the houses where you are, [that] when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague shall be upon you to destroy you when I mite the Land of Egypt.
--- Exodus 12:13

My own reflection on this Thought:
* We need Jesus to conquer our bondages. And by believing in Him, we could say that we put the Blood of Jesus to conquer those things.
In the Name of Jesus and by the Blood of Jesus, we will be freed from all the negativity... (-fon-)

God-Like Thinking

If we think fleshly thoughts --- wrong and negative thoughts --- we cannot walk in the Spirit, which means follow His prompting, leading, guiding, and working in our heart.
God-like thinking is a vital necessity to a successful Christian life.
We obtain God's thoughts by reading His Word. This is a vital necessity because our life gets straightened out when our mind does.

And not be conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
--- Romans 12:2

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Have you ever done this: by the time your first sight landing on a person, then you start judging him/her. Maybe starting from what that person wears, how's her hair, how's the look of his/her eyes, and every single aspect that comes from your thought from the first time you see that person.
Well, it's judging people. It's hard to avoid that, I know...
Today's word reminds us to have a God-like thinking.
When we have a God-like thinking, I'm sure that He will never judge any person, because He loves all of us so much.
If we wear God's sunglasses (see from His perspective), I'm sure we can be more loving to others.
Build a God-like thinking! (-fon-)

The Purpose of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a gift from God bestowed upon us by His grace, requested by us in prayer, and received by us through the channel of faith. His purpose is to get right in the middle of our lives and make them all work out for the glory of God.

When you receive Jesus as your Savior and ask Him to fill you with His Spirit, the Holy Spirit is not only in you, but He is with you, around you, all over you. He wants to be personally involved in your life. He has been given to you to accomplish a whole series of things in you, through you, and for you.

And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever.
--- John 14:16

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Holy Spirit is our true friend indeed that remains within us forever.
But how we can make friend with the Holy Spirit? Once we accept the Spirit by faith, He will be within us and guide us all the way.
Sometimes, when I don't have enough strength or words to pray, I just pray with the minister of the Holy Spirit, speaking like a child to our God.
Then, I feel renew and my burden is lighter.
It's really a special gift for us! (-fon-)
