TOTD, July 30-31 & 1ST of August: Don’t Stop Believing!

Abraham Kept Hoping and Believing

The verse today gave us an example of faithfulness. It’s from Abraham-the father of many nations. God gave His Promises to Abraham. Even there’s no reason for hope, Abraham chose to keep his hope. He didn’t stop believing that God will keep His promises. Let’s learn to believe in God like Abraham did. (-fon-)

Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!”

--- Romans 4:18

Believe and Bring Glory to God

Another example from Abraham. He never wavered in believing God’s promise, his faith grew stronger, and he brought glory to God. How about us? (-fon-)

Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.

--- Romans 4:20

In Faith, We Live by Believing

In reality, we live by seeing. Seeing is believing. But in faith, it’s the other way around. We live by believing. Hoping and putting our trust in God that He will give the best for us according to His Plans. (-fon-)

For we live by believing and not by seeing.

--- 2 Corinthians 5:7

TOTD, July 29- Problems and Glory of God

Problems and Glory of God

Yesterday, I read a very interesting article from Max Lucado. And I’d like to share with you, my friends.

Your pain has a purpose. Your problems, struggles, heartaches, and hassles cooperate toward one end—the glory of God.

—from It’s Not About Me by Max Lucado

In short, Max told the story of his father who struggled with his disease. He wasn’t defeated by it, but yet showed the glory of God. Some of his father‘s friends turned into Christ’s believers.

It’s quite often that our pains, problems, struggles, heartaches make us confused and sad. But if we know that all of them will lead to the glory of God, we’ll feel more peaceful. We can surrender all of the struggles to Him, put our faith in Him, get through every of it with His help. And finally be a proof that glorifies His name. So, whatever we’re facing at this moment, never scared of it. It’s for His Glory! (-fon-)

Trust me in your times of trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.
---Psalm 50:15

Following the Example of Christ

God is love. Living a life that’s filled with love will be following the example of Christ. Let’s live our love according to His example. He has already been so good to us, sacrificed His life for us. It’s our turn to make Him proud. (-fon-)

Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.

TOTD, July 26- Keep the Faith

Keep the Faith

Faith is the confidence of what the future might be. It gives us assurance about things we can not see. Because we believe that God will be there all the way in every situation that we will face. His Hands will hold us firmly, no matter how bad or how good the situation might be. He knows the best for us and He has already planned everything for us long time ago. All we need to do is just believe in Him, trust Him with all our heart. And keep the faith. (-fon-)

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

TOTD, July 21 – Imitate God

Imitate God

How can I imitate God? I’m only human? Not even an angel or saint…

Maybe that’s what we’re thinking of. But today’s verse from Ephesians reminds us to stand strong in imitating God in everything we do. Trying our very best because we’re His children. His dearest ones.

No matter how hard it is, let’s try to do it. Hopefully, we’ll get closer to be more like Him. And showing His face to this world. A face of love and kindness. Amen. (-fon-)

Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.

See How Much He Loves Us

I remembered that I’ve read one story from Chicken Soup for the Soul with the title: SHMILY-See How Much I Love You. Today, when I read this verse, I remembered that Our Father loved us so much. He calls us His children, accept us just the way we are…

So, take our time to thank Him. See How Much He Loves us! (-fon-)

See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.

Rest of Our Souls

Hectic days with full of problems. Tired and full of weariness. Really want to take a rest. This world will never provide a good solution. It might be temporary. But the rest of the souls in the Lord will last longer. Even forever. Seek only for God. He’s humble and gentle at heart, and we’ll find the kind of comfort and rest that we need. (-fon-)

Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

TOTD, July 12 - Nothing-Except God- is Certain in this Life

Nothing-Except God- is Certain in this Life

In prosperity, it’s easy to stay thankful and praise God. What if we’re in the middle of difficulties, can we still be thankful to Him? We need to remember that nothing is certain in this life. Nothing-except God and the changes of situations every now and then.

We need to realize that hard times in our opinions, sometimes are His Ways to bring us closer to Him. And also a reminder to realize that we’re nobody without Him.

Enjoy prosperity but never scared of hard times. With God by our side, everything is good in His Plans. (-fon-)

Enjoy prosperity while you can,
but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God.
Remember that nothing is certain in this life.

---- Ecclesiastes 7:14

TOTD, July 02-04: About Godliness

Better to Have Little with Godliness

Money isn’t everything. Wealth isn’t everything either.

Even we’re living in such a materialistic world where everything can be easily measured with money, we need to stay honest.

The verse from the Proverbs today reminds us that it’s better to have little with godliness rather than to be rich and dishonest. But if God grant us with wealth, let us stay to live in godliness too. No matter what financial condition we’re in right now, let’s stay in godliness.(-fon-)

Better to have little, with godliness,
than to be rich and dishonest.

--- Proverbs 16:8

Training for Godliness for Our Life

In order to stay slim and healthy, people will endure hardship to stay in the fitness centre for long hours. Training, weight-lifting, doing some aerobics classes with its variety: tae bo, hip hop, and anything else seemed never enough to burn the calories.

Training in godliness can come in many forms. Sometimes it means we have to endure the hardship in this life. Sometimes that means we choose to love instead of hate even though our heart is broken. Sometimes it asks for great courage even though we’re so scared. In God, we believe that every problem is a blessing in disguised. Things that we haven’t seen now but we believe they are good things in our life. Never scared of godliness training for it will bring goodness in our life. Keep the faith in God. (-fon-)

“Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.”

--- 1 Timothy 4:8

True Godliness is Great Wealth

The Bible reminds us that true godliness combined with contentment is a great wealth. Try to seek for it and try to be grateful for everything He has already granted in our life. (-fon-)

Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.

--- 1 Timothy 6:6
