The Name Prevails!

A pastor friend of mine was driving through an intersection one day and his little three - or four- year old son was in the car with him. He did not realize that the car door on the passenger side was not secured tightly, and he made a sharp turn. This happened before seat belt laws were passed, and the child was not wearing one. The car door flew open, and the little boy rolled out of the vehicle right into the middle of four-way traffic! The last thing my friend saw was a set of fast-moving car wheels just about to run over his son. All he knew to do was cry, "Jesus!"
As soon as he stopped his car, he jumped out and ran to his son, who was perfectly all right. But the man driving the car that had almost hit the child was hysterical. My friend tried to comfort him.
" Don't be upset!" he said. " My son is all right. Just thank God you were able to stop!"
" You don't understand!" the man responded, " I never touched my brakes!"

This was a crisis situation. There was no time for anyone to do anything, no time to think, plan, or reason. Although there was nothing man could do, the Name of Jesus prevailed. Miracle-working power came on the scene, and the boy's life was spared. (See Proverbs 18:10).

My own reflection on this Thought:
* The story above reminds us once again that His Name is really powerful.
Even when we could never think of anything in such a critical situation, He comes to our rescue.
Maybe today, we're facing such a critical situation, such a challenging life that may lead us to think we won't have the strength to go on. Just remember once again, as I remind myself, that He's able to save us even in the most unbelievably pathetic situation that we're facing. (-fon-)

Grow in Relationship

Suspicion cripples an entire relationship and usually destroys it. Trust and faith bring joy to life and help relationships grow to their maximum potential.

May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.
--- Romans 15:13

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Based on other people's past, it's easy for us to judge them.
Based on their disloyalty, it's easy to say that they won't be loyal forever.
But, who are we to judge others?
To help us grow a healthy relationship, we have to get rid of the suspicion.

God's Power Is Impressive

Don't be impressed by the problem. Be impressed by God's power.

... What is impossible with men is possible with God.
--- Luke 18:27

My own reflection on this Thought:
* What is impossible with men, is possible with God.
That's really true.
Even we thought that we don't have any way out from our current situation, but if God wants to, it's possible.
All we have to do is just keep our faith in Him and trust Him all the way (-fon-)
