Don’t be Stiff-Necked

The Israelites are called stiff-necked. Their necks are called "stiff" because they won't bend to God's will.

Sometimes we’re just so stubborn. Or maybe at other time, we thought that we’re always right and nothing can go wrong with our expertise or prediction. But, my dear friends, we’re only human and not God. He knows better, a lot better, or even the best for us. So, surrender your will to God, don’t be stiff-necked anymore, since it won’t do you any good. The best thing will only happen if we surrender our hopes and dreams, as well as our will, in Him. He won’t force us, but He will give us the freedom to choose while at the same time He’s longing for our surrender act to obey His will. (-fon-)

Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and do not be stiff-necked any longer.
--- Deuteronomy 10:16
