Good Times, Bad Times

Good times, bad times gimme some of that
Good times, bad times gimme some of that
Good times, bad times gimme some of that
Ooh woo ooh
(Edie Brickell’s song, Good Times from the year 1994)

This isn’t a new song. But, it’s an easy listening song, with a nice tune, and easy lyrics as well. But it reminds me of this life, it’s a circle of good times-bad times experience that come and go. Sometimes your days are perfect, full of beautiful flowers. But on the other time, your days are like stuck in the middle of nowhere. Don’t know where to go, don’t know what to do.

The book of Ecclesiastes reminds us to be happy when times are good, but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other. So, we try not to complain when things are running wild, far from what we’ve been planned so far. Seems that everything goes wrong, but actually, life is just a set of unexpected and unpredictable things, only to find that in the end, it will bring us good as long as we stay faithful to our God who knows much much better than what we can ever think of. (-fon-)

When times are good, be happy;
but when times are bad, consider:
God has made the one
as well as the other.
--- Ecclesiastes 7:14

He Will Never Harm You

In the middle of tragedy in your life, you might question whether God is really good. Are His Plans good for you or are they actually going to harm you? It’s kind of sad actually to think that way. But in the middle of frustration, depression, and lack of faith, this might happen.
The bible reminds us that even though an evil, he/she knows how to give good gifts to his/her children. So, how much more will our Abba Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?

Sometimes, we’re judging everyone easily. And it’s also applies the same when we judge God, especially when things are going out of control. But, hey…! He’s our Creator, He will never harm You! This thing should never cross our mind. He loves us so much, it’s just we haven’t understand His loving-kindness yet… But time will tell, it will show that He’s good, He only plans good things in our life. (-fon-)

If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"
--- Luke 11:13
