Silence

"Every word, every image used for God is a distortion more than a description."
"Then how does one speak of God?"
"Through Silence."
"Why, then, do you speak in words?"
At that the Master laughed uproariously He said, "When I speak, you mustn't listen to the words, my dear. Listen to the Silence." (Title: Comprehension by Anthony de Mello, SJ).

Sometimes, we talk too much. Even in prayer, we talk too much. Requesting this and that, complaining this and that, without realizing that the main wisdom only comes from silence. Let’s start a silent prayer as well, listen to the silence, listen to Him. (-fon-)

But if not, then listen to me;
be silent, and I will teach you wisdom.
--- Job 33:33
