TOTD, April 17

The Garment of Praise

Today, I read a very inspiring writing of Joyce Meyer, the person whom I didn’t know but has somehow become my inspiration to start writing TOTD (Thought of The Day).
Here it is, I want to share with you all:

In His Word God has given us the tools we need to help us through each new day. He has given us “the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness” (Isaiah 61:3). So, when you wake up in the morning, decide that no matter what happens, you will not be depressed today.
(Taken from Joyce Meyer’s writing).

It’s very interesting. Once again, I was reminded that it’s our decision that we want to be depressed or not. It’s our decision to stay happy and rejoice. It’s our decision to put on the garment of praise everywhere we go.
It’s our decision!
Let the garment of praise be with us always, so that we could praise Him in all condition. (-fon-)

and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.
--- Isaiah 61:3
