Be Self-Controlled and Alert

Sometimes I do find it hard to be self-controlled all the time.
But after reading 1 Peter 5:8-9, I asked God to grant me the ability to be more alert. Because I know that the devil will always try to persuade us through our mind by attacking our thoughts with negative thinking.

The Bible reminds us to be self-controlled and alert. Eventhough the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, but all we have to do is just resisting him, standing firm in faith to the Lord Jesus Christ, because we know that all throughout the world, people are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
We need to remember that we’re not the only one who’s facing this. We’re not alone.
But the message is still the same: be self-controlled and alert, so that the devil won’t be able to attack us.

Stand stronger and stronger in faith today and forever. Amen. (-fon-)

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
