TOTD, February 09 - Ephphatha

Ephphatha!

Maybe we’re not physically deaf or blind. But, quite often our heart and mind seem like ‘deaf’ and ‘blind’ towards God’s will as well as to other people surround us. Many times, we think too much of ourselves (selfishly), so that we forget the ones who suffer around us.

God, please forgive us.

And let’s pray that may Jesus open our heart so that we care about those in needs. And also about His Will which might be completely different with what we want, but that’s the best in His Plans for us.

Jesus, pray for us. (-fon-)

After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then he spit and touched the man’s tongue. He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him,“Ephphatha!” (which means “Be opened!”). At this, the man’s ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly.

--- Mark 7:33-35

Efata!
