God’s Handiwork
This is a wonderful quote from Saint Therese of Lisieux:
He showed me the book of nature, and I understood that every flower created by Him is beautiful, that the brilliance of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not lessen the perfume of the violet or the sweet simplicity of the daisy. I understood that if all the lowly flowers wished to be roses, nature would lose its springtide beauty, and the fields would no longer be enamelled with lovely hues. (St. Therese of Lisieux)
Even though we thought that we’re small and not as pretty as the roses, but God has created us for a purpose here in this world. And we’re created to do good works. In every little thing, may our deeds fill with God’s love that we spread to the people surround us. (-fon-)
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Ciptaan Allah
Ini adalah suatu catatan berharga dari Santa Theresia Lisieux:
Dia menunjukkan padaku kitab alam, dan aku mengerti bahwa setiap bunga yang diciptakan-Nya adalah indah adanya, bahwa cemerlangnya mawar dan putihnya bunga lili tidak mengurangi harumnya bunga ‘viola’ atau kesederhanaan yang manis dari bunga aster. Saya mengerti bahwa ketika banyak bunga yang lebih sederhana berharap menjadi mawar, alam akan kehilangan keindahannya dan ladang takkan lagi dihiasi oleh rona warnanya. (Santa Theresia Lisieux).
Walaupun kita merasa diri kita kecil dan tak seindah bunga mawar, tetapi Tuhan telah menciptakan kita untuk sebuah tujuan di dunia ini. Dan kita juga diciptakan untuk melakukan pekerjaan baik. Dalam setiap hal terkecil sekalipun, semoga niat baik kita dipenuhi kasih Allah yang kita sebarkan kepada orang-orang di sekeliling kita. (-fon-)
Karena kita ini buatan Allah, diciptakan dalam Kristus Yesus untuk melakukan pekerjaan baik, yang dipersiapkan Allah sebelumnya. Ia mau, supaya kita hidup di dalamnya.
