God’s Discipline
As God’s children, every now and then, we’ll face some types of discipline in this life. Discipline of God is for our good in order that we may share in His Holiness (Hebrews 12:10b). No discipline is pleasant at the time, but painful. However, it will produce a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it (verse 11).
In faith, we believe that He disciplines us for our own good. God knows what’s best for us. (-fon-)
but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may
share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
