The Mind Is the Battlefield

During a storm, remember that the mind is the battlefield.
Don't make your decisions based on your thoughts of feelings, but check with your spirit (your heart).

But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh ( of human nature without God).
For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the [Holy] Spirit, and the [desires of the] Spirit are opposed to the flesh (godless human nature)...
But if you are guide (led) by the [Holy] Spirit, you are not subject to the Law.
--- Galatians 5:16-18

My own reflection on this Thought:
* If you need to decide something, it's simple, just follow your heart. There's where your spirit is.
If your heart feels peaceful, most likely it's what the Spirit's telling you what to do.
Don't be distracted by your mind or feeling, just follow your heart! (-fon-)

Live Life Now!

If you have been waiting a long time for something you have been believing God for and have not seen much progress, you are probably getting very tired of waiting. I want to encourage you to take a fresh attitude toward waiting.

We learn from James 5:7 to be patient like the farmer who waits for the precious produce of the soil until it gets the early and late rain. The Word also says that while he waits for the seed to sprout, he rises up and goes to bed, and eventually it comes up (Mark 4:26,27). And he, the farmer, knows not how.

God has taught me these Scriptures to keep living the life I have now while I am waiting for things that are in my heart to come to pass. We can become so intent on trying to birth the next thing that we do not take care of and enjoy the things at hand.

Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!]...
--- Romans 5:3

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Be patient like a farmer? Come on, I'm not a farmer..
Maybe that's what you thought.
But today, we can learn from the farmer so that we can be a better person, with a better attitude towards waiting.
Waiting is very frustrating if we keep wondering when will the time come to achieve what God has promised to us.
But, there's no way we can escape waiting anyway.
So, the best thing to do is just: live today's life at the fullest, with full faith in God and trusting Him with all our hearts. (-fon-)

Acknowledge the Good Things

The communication of our faith to others is made effectual by acknowledging every good thing which is in us in Christ Jesus, not by acknowledging every wrong thing with us.

[And I pray] that the participation in and sharing of your faith may produce and promote full recognition and appreciation and understanding and precise knowledge of every good [thing] that is ours in [our identification with] Christ Jesus [and unto His glory].
--- Philemon 6

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Seeing the good thing is not too easy especially when you're in a depressed situation.
But today's Word of God reminds us once more to do so, even it's hard.
Most of the time, we've already in a bad shape, realizing how many mistakes and wrong things we have made.
So, let's make this life of ours become easier by forgiving ourselves and see the beauty in us that God has already created. (-fon-)
