Long Enough…

After the earth quake that stroke West part of Sumatera on 30^th of September, we begin to wonder : what’s the message behind all of these…? One disaster after another, we’ve tried to be patient and brace ourselves. Maybe our condition –somehow- is similar with David in Psalm 13. We thought that God has ignored us long enough. Long enough that we’ve carried the burden, the troubles, the pain. Long enough to be patient of all the disasters in our country, in our life.

But, then, David is finally rejoicing Himself in God’s rescue. His prayers are fully answered by God. We can be like David. Feel depressed, frustrated, and stressed out. Only to find that in the end, God is always there to answer our prayers in His time. He will never ignore us. His love will be there. Long enough for us to enjoy for the rest of our life till eternity. (-fon-)

Long enough, God— you've ignored me long enough.
I've looked at the back of your head
long enough. Long enough
I've carried this ton of trouble,
lived with a stomach full of pain.
Long enough my arrogant enemies
have looked down their noses at me.
