Reason or Excuse

Reasons are totally different from excuses. There is a reason for us being the way we are; an excuse is what keeps us that way.

I turned about [penitent] and my heart was set to know and to search cut and to seek [true] wisdom and the reason of things ....
--- Ecclesiastes 7: 25

My own reflection on this Thought:
* 'Excuse' is more negative in its meaning rather than 'reason'.
For example, you have this hurt with your best friend, and you're being very bitter towards this life. Your hurt is the reason why you're being bitter.
You thought nothing will be able to heal you, because your wound is too deep. Well, I might say that's an excuse, because we know, with God nothing is impossible. So, don't let the excuse get into its power over you. You need to be sure in your faith, God will heal you... Don't let any excuse forbid you to be free from hurt. (-fon-)
