Be Peaceful and Thankful

In this financial crisis, it’s not easy to find ourselves in peaceful and thankful condition. We might get so worried about our own future, since so many lay-offs recently, maybe this question keep bugging you, “ Will I keep my job?” And many other things such as your children’s education, your loans, your plan to get married, etc.. etc.

But no matter what, we need to learn to trust God. We need to find a peace of mind, at least within ourselves. Not easy, but let’s try to be thankful today, so that we can feel the peace from the Lord. (-fon-)

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
--- Colossians 3:15

Mary or Martha?

Here’s the verses from the bible:

As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!"
"Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."
--- Luke 10:38-42

Maybe we’re like Martha, we’re worried and upset about many things, but we today we need to learn and choose what is better, to be like Mary, try to sit at the Lord’s feet and listen to what He said. Cast all of our cares to Him and pray more. (-fon-)
