Love God

This verse might shock you a little bit. How come you don’t love anything from the world? We have our loved ones here, don’t we? And if we have, why can’t we love them?

Actually, we can love them for sure. But we can’t depend on them all the time. The love to this world and to its people has got some limitations. We might someday feel the disappointment. Either it’s because unavailability because of long distance relationship, or the pain because being treated badly by our loved ones either intentionally or not, or finally death which will one day separate us from our loved ones.

All we have in this world is temporary, so don’t depend on them too much. Look for something that’s more eternal, the love for God. The longing to be close to Him and seek the true love. Cherish the love that we have in this world, but don’t be too carried away, remember it’s just temporary. Seek more of eternal love from God.
(-fon-)

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world.
--- 1 John 2:15-16
