A Thousand Generations

He is faithful. There’s no doubt about it. Keeping His covenant from generation to generation. Or as described by the verse below as a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.

He is faithful. How about us? Have we been faithful too? (-fon-)

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.

I Will not be Afraid

Sometimes in this life, we might feel scared or afraid. For the uncertainties, for the future, for our love ones… But, today’s gospel reminds us not to be afraid. With God, we will have enough strength to walk in this journey of life.

With You, Lord…I will not be afraid. (-fon-)

In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I will not be afraid.

Faithful Father.

God has proven himself a faithful father. Now it falls to us to be trusting children. (Max Lucado’s Twitter).

As He has shown us to be a faithful father, now it’s our duty to be His trusting children. Very inspiring sentences from Max Lucado. Let’s do it now, let’s start it now. (-fon-)

The works of his hands are faithful and just;
all his precepts are trustworthy.

Complete the Task

As long as we live, let’s remember that we have a task that He has given to us. To testify the gospel of God’s grace and finish the race with pride in Him.

(-fon-)

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.

Save the World

If you think that you’re so lonely, alone, without anyone that could help you much in this period of time… Well, you’re not alone when you feel that. When you think whatever you’ve done (and mostly your best) wasn’t good enough and it seems that He has left you, let’s be reminded once more that He came to save the world. Not to condemn them. He came to give us hope, not to let you down. Maybe we’re just too busy with our problems and that’s why we’re unable to see His kindness in our life. (-fon-)

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Hopefully this is a brand new day to become wiser: quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. (-fon-)

God Knows Everything

Carrie’s mother is explaining to her that God knows what she is going to do next week --- and next year. “ God knows your name and where you live. He knows that everyone in the world is doing. He knows everything!”

(I can learn about God- Kenneth N. Taylor--- Children’s book)

God knows everything! He knows the beginning, when we were born, He knows our activities now, five years from now, He really knows everything. May this simple thing lead us to believe in Him once more. With all our heart. (-fon-)

God understands the way to it
and he alone knows where it dwells,

Hymn of Love

I'll sing to You Lord
A hymn of Love
For Your faithfulness to me
I'm carried in everlasting arms
You'll never let me go
Through it all

(Through It All- Hillsong)

On Saturday when I was attending the Mass, I listened to this song. One of my favorite song by Hillsong. Love it, love the lyrics, because it keeps reminding me to stay thankful by singing a hymn of love to the Lord: for His faithfulness. Through all the phases of our life, He is there. Thanks to You, Lord! (-fon-)

He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.

--- Psalm 40:3a

Your Faith Has Healed You

I’m taking the verse from the whole pericope of Mark 10: 46-52, it’s when the blind Bartimeus receives his sight. His faith has healed him. How about us? Do we have enough faith to heal our wound and hurt? Let’s learn from Bartimeus today. (-fon-)

"Go," said Jesus, "your faith has healed you." Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

--- Mark 10:52

Hot-Tempered of Patient?

A reminder from Proverb 15:18. Hot-tempered or patient? It’s our choice. (-fon-)

A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension,
but a patient man calms a quarrel.

On Rock or On Sand?

You can build your house wisely (on the rock). Or you can also build it on sand.

It’s really up to you. But as for me, I think I’m going to build it on the solid rock ever! God Himself. So when the rain comes, the stream rises, the wind blows and beat against the house, it won’t fall. Because it has THE ROCK as its foundation. (-fon-)

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."

Peacemakers

In the world that’s full of war, arguments, anger, and fight….

Peacemakers are needed…

It doesn’t mean we can’t argue though…

Arguments sometimes are needed to know both sides of point of views.

But it doesn’t mean that we need to fight or stay in war

Hopefully we can be peacemakers who sow in peace....

And finally can harvest the righteousness.

Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.

May He Blessed You as He Has Promised

Maybe we’re so familiar with this kind of spam or junk mail:

Dear Customer,
This is to notify you that $250,000USD international certified bank draft was issued out from Microsoft Company to be sent to you as one of our on-line constant user, you are hereby been asked to respond to this email with your name, address, phone number for delivery of your $250,000USD below is the contact details for more information. Etc… Etc…

Why they keep sending it? Most probably there are still getting some responses. There are still people who doesn’t understand who still sends them money. Who doesn’t want to get rich? But, should we trust the people whom we haven’t known before?

When it comes to trust the Lord, we sometimes doubt Him, scared to trust Him. Because we haven’t seen Him, some of us think that is He the real thing? (compared with the spam or junk mail, they haven’t met them either, but they easily transfer their money to them too…).

Let’s remember that His promises are the best. They’re like no other. You can count on Him because He’s trustworthy and faithful. And last but not least this is my prayer for you:

May the LORD, the God of your fathers, increase you a thousand times and bless you as he has promised!

Stay faithful, be thankful, and may He blessed you more and more. (-fon-)

Plan G

With your genius mind, you’ve planned lots of things. Plan A, Plan B, Plan C, Plan D. If those plans didn’t work, you try another. But after quite some time, you found that it’s so tiring to depend on your own strength. Yes, you have to work hard and put all of your heart in every effort that you’ve made, but without God, it seems that all of the plans have lack of something. Plan G, the Plan of God is the best of all plans. When our hard work, our plans combined with His Plans will be the perfect combination. If all of your plans didn’t work out, try Plan G. Surrender to God and let Him be your guide. (-fon-)

O LORD, you are my God;
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for in perfect faithfulness
you have done marvelous things,
things planned long ago.

--- Isaiah 25:1

The Lord is With You

Even though you feel that He’s so far away…

But actually, He’s always with you…(-fon-)

The LORD your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing."

It’s a New Day!

It’s a new day where we can try to put all the fruit of the Spirit into actions.

It’s a new start to be better in them and never give up achieving them. Believe that we can do it if we pray and try harder. (-fon-)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Are You Ready?

Let me tell you a story.

One day, two men were walking home.

All of a sudden, it started to rain. Really hard.

Because both of them didn’t have an umbrella, the two guys got soaking wet.

After a few minutes of torrential rain, the first man cursed.

“God, what have I done to deserve this bad fortune?” he growled, hurling his fist to the sky. “Why are you punishing me? I’m minding my own business here, walking home, when You had to make it rain!”

But the second man’s response was totally different. He began to skip, dance, and sing like Gary V in a concert. “Yeepee! Life is wonderful!” he hollered.

With venom in his voice, the first man asked, “What are you so happy about? Can’t you see we’re wet as frogs in a swamp!”

The second man said, “My dear friend, I’m a farmer. The rain is nourishing my crops. I will have a bountiful harvest this year!”

It was the same rain, the same amount of water pelting their bodies, but the two men had two very different reactions.

Why?

Because one person prepared for the rain and another didn’t.

Dear friend, mark my word: There is always an avalanche of blessing that will flow into your life. Financial blessings. Spiritual blessings. They pour like a rampaging river over you.

But will you be ready for their coming? (Bo Sanchez’s amazing blog).

His blessings are always there. The question is: are we ready to receive them? Have we prepared ourselves to accept them? (-fon-)

From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.

Good reminder for wives, wives to be and husbands who has wives (just tell them) :)

“A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her

Forgiving Each Other

Let say today is a very emotional day for you. You started your day with anger. Nothing is right, everything seems wrong. You got angry with the taxi driver, yelled at the irresponsible motor-biker, then you found that everyone you met has made you angry. But then you suddenly realized that you’re not supposed to do that. You’re supposed to forgive them, you’re supposed to forgive yourself. Because Christ has already forgiven us. (-fon-)

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

No Worries…

When our daughter isn’t feeling well, it’s really easy for me to feel worry. When the financial condition is going down, it’s really easy for us to feel distracted and worries fill up our hearts. When things aren’t going our ways, it’s really easy to feel stressed out.

But, here’s a good reminder from the book of Matthew:

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life

--- Matthew 6:27

We need to remember that with God, we learn to trust in Him. We learn to surrender all our worries. And don’t worry for we have someone that we could trust to. No worries….He is with us. (-fon-)

The Truth Will Set Us Free

If only we hold on to the teachings of the Lord, we are really His disciples. Then we got the chance to know the truth and it will set us free from every bondage. He’s the truth, so draw ourselves near Him. (-fon-)

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Mourning into Dancing

Maybe we’ve ever been in this situation before, like the verse of the book of Lamentation, we think that the joy is gone, our dancing has turned into mourning.

15 Joy is gone from our hearts;
our dancing has turned to mourning.

--- Lamentations 5:15

But our God can change every mourning into dancing. All we need to do is just believe in Him. Trust Him that He’s able to do it. (-fon-)

Comes Into the Light

Whoever lives by the truth comes into light.

Sometimes we tend to lie. White lies, true lies, still: they’re lies anyway.

If we want to reach the light, to see plainly what Jesus has done to us, we must start our days with living in the truth. Because He Himself is the truth.

Let’s come into the Light, the Truth. Let’s embrace Him with love. (-fon-)

But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.

The Lord is Good

He’s good. There’s no doubt about it.

All we can do is just to taste and see His every goodness in our life. Let’s begin with the tiniest thing today. Small but yet we found that God has blessed us tremendously. Why don’t we start from the air that we breath? Why don’t we start from the sun, the rain?

Taste and see that the Lord is good. His goodness endures forever. (-fon-)

Taste and see that the LORD is good;
blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

--- Psalm 34:8

"Ephphatha!"

After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man's ears. Then he spit and touched the man's tongue. He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, "Ephphatha!" (which means, "Be opened!" ). At this, the man's ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly.

--- Mark 7:33-35

Imagine that it’s us who came to Jesus and wanted to be healed. Like the deaf person, all we need to ask was just our ears were opened. Maybe we’re not physically deaf, but we’re not responding to what we hear. We hear other people’s problem and yet we don’t care. Some of us are even wore, we’re mentally deaf, it that’s not my business, so why should I care?

This is the time to pray to God: God, open my ears, open the eyes of my heart, so I can be your good disciple in this world. (-fon-)

Jesus’ Miracles

22They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. 23He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man's eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, "Do you see anything?"

24He looked up and said, "I see people; they look like trees walking around."

25Once more Jesus put his hands on the man's eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. 26Jesus sent him home, saying, "Don't go into the village."

--- Mark 8:22-26

He does miracles. There’s no doubt about it. But it doesn’t mean that if He hasn’t done any miracles in your life then you wanted to walk away from Him. Or even pushed Him by asking, “ Show me some miracles, if You’re God of miracles.”

He is good. No matter there’s miracle or not. If you’ve experienced some miracles then be thankful. But if you haven’t, do believe that miracles are also there in our daily life. All you need to do is just open your eyes more widely. (-fon-)

He Comes for Us.

Jesus reiterated that it’s the sick who needs a doctor. It’s the sinners that needs Him. Of course, everyone needs Him but if you think that you’re really bad, your sins are not forgivable, then He comes for you. He comes for each and everyone of us. (-fon-)

On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

As long as you live in the deception of unrealistic expectations, you will never succeed at being yourself. Expect God to meet your needs rather than people. (Joyce Meyer).

The Spirit Will Guide Us

IF WE PRAY FOR GUIDANCE, our first task is to listen deeply, alert for how answers may appear from deep within our inner dialogue–perhaps inspired by a Mind deeper than our small minds. The Spirit can and does speak in the heart, in the very core of our souls.

- Robert Corin Morris

Listen to the guidance of the inner part of us. The Spirit itself. (-fon-)

This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
