TOTD, March 31 – Gracious Words

Gracious Words

According to the Book of Proverbs, gracious words are a honeycomb-sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. It’s not easy to speak graciously all the time. But, we need to improve ourselves, change our negative words with positive ones and add up more gracious to those words. Ask the Lord for help to speak lovingly and more graciously… Hopefully it will become our good habit.

(-fon-)

Gracious words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

TOTD, March 30 - Who is This? He’s Jesus

Who is This? He’s Jesus

Based on the verses from the book of Luke chapter 8, verses 24-25, I do find that there are two points that popped up directly once I read them. The first one, when Jesus asked: where their faith was to the disciples who were afraid of drowning. That reminds me of this life: if we’re scared that we’re drowning, we need to ask ourselves once more: where is our faith? If we have faith of course, we’ll believe that we won’t be drown because He’s going to help us.

Then, the next question of the disciples: who was this? He commanded even the winds and water, and they obeyed Him. Of course they did, because He’s Jesus. Don’t worry, keep the faith, because we’ve got Jesus in our life. (-fon-)

The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!”

He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples.

In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.”

TOTD, March 29 – Disciples of God

Disciples of God

Today I’ve just read Bo Sanchez’s inspiring article. It says that if we want the world to know that we’re God’s disciples it’s based on our ability to love one another. More love, more acceptance to others. Rather than annoyance to others, those who are different from us. Let’s learn to be a good disciples and let’s love one another. (-fon-)

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Our Rock, Our Refuge

He’s the unshakeable mighty Rock, our refuge. Let’s be glad that we have Him as our Rock, our Refuge. To whom we put our trust in, all through our life. (-fon-)

he is my mighty rock, my refuge.

TOTD, March 21 – Pure Spiritual Milk

As a mother of a daughter and our upcoming baby who’ll see the beauty of this world pretty soon, I know how they really crave for milk. And today, the Bible tells us to crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it we may grow in our salvation. Let’s seek Him with all our heart, like when a baby is craving for milk…Let’s seek pure spiritual milk in Him. (-fon-)

Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

TOTD, March 19-20: About Judging Others

While Passing Judgement on Someone Else…

We need to be careful while we’re passing judgment on someone else. For whatever point we judge to another person, we are condemning ourselves. Well, it’s not an easy thing to do, but if we try our best, our judgemental attitude will somehow gets better and better. See others in love, not merely in judgement. (-fon-)

You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.

--- Romans 2:1

God’s Judgement

Before judging others, we need to remember that God will also have His own judgement to us. So, it’s really important to think before judging. Even though I realize that practically it’s so hard to do so, because we usually tend to judge others. First, based on appearance, second based on characters. And we tend to love gossiping around about our differences. Let’s pray to the Lord that we can be better in loving, not only in judging… It’s easy to judge, but when we put ourselves in somebody’s shoes and being judged, how does it feel? (-fon-)

So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment?

TOTD, March 18 - Pray

Pray

When we saw how tremendously the Japan’s tsunami and earthquake have caused such a sudden change in this advanced country, we’ll weep. We’ll cry with all the victims who lost their family, friends, and assets during this hard period of time.

There’s no one to turn to, except God. It’s really a time to pray, for we believe that He’s the one and only friend who is able to comfort us during the hardest part of our life. I do believe that God will hear our cry for help. Only in Him we put our trust that He’ll listen to all our prayers and will answer according to His will. Like Justin Bieber’s song with the title Pray: let’s close our eyes and pray, hoping that we can see a better day. Amen. (-fon-)

Hear my cry for help,
my King and my God,
for to you I pray.

God Comforts Us

It’s the best thing to seek whenever we’re facing problems: God’s comfort. Then, we can comfort others with the comfort that we’ve received from God. Search for no other, only in Him. (-fon-)

TOTD, March 02 – Beware of Our Tongue

Beware of Our Tongue

Tongue is the small part of our body, but yet it has a very huge impact. Imagine that we can become so bitter and so painful only because of few words. So, it’s important to choose our words and straighten our heart and mind. Because the words come out from within. From what we’ve been thinking of. (-fon-)

Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.
