Holy Spirit- the Reminder

You’ve got this reminder everywhere. In your PC, in your laptop, in your handphone, to remind you the things to do.

According to the bible, the Holy Spirit is the counselor that will teach us all things and will remind us of everything He has said to us.
Be thankful that we’ve got a true reminder of what God says through the Holy Spirit.
(-fon-)

But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

The Servant of All

Here’s the secret from the bible: if anyone wants to be the first, on the other way around, he must be the very last, and the servant of all.
It’s definitely and totally different from what we know. And it’s entirely different from what the world teach us.
Usually, they say: if you want to be the first, just fight for it, never mind if you defeat others with dishonest ways as long as you are the winner.

But, as God’s children, now we know, we need to make a difference by showing that we need to be the servant of all, the very last, to be the first. (-fon-)

Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all."

Worship in Spirit and Truth

God is Spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.
That’s our duty as His worshipers.
So, let’s worship Him with all our hearts, in spirit and in truth. (-fon-)

The Words Are Spirit and Life

According to the Bible, the Spirit gives life while the flesh counts for nothing.
The words He has spoken to us are spirit and they are life.
Let’s spend more time to meditate on the Word of God. (-fon-)

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.

We Can Move the Mountain

With faith, even as little as a mustard seed, we’re able to move the mountain. Maybe we’re facing a huge mountain in our life. A mountain of never-ending problems that seem to block our vision. We’re scared, we’re worried, we’re anxious.
But, hey, this is the good news: no matter how high the mountain of the problems that we’re facing, we can move them.
Not with our strength, but with His help. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. No mountain is too high for God. We can move the mountain! (-fon-)

Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him.

Ask God for Wisdom

The bible reminds us, if any of us lacks of wisdom (which I believe quite plenty, sometimes we aren’t wise enough most of the time), we should ask God. He will give generously to us. (-fon-)

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

Splendor

Let’s praise the Lord at this very moment.
Feel His Presence and His Love. Be thankful for what He has done in our life. And be grateful for His everlasting love forever and ever. His name alone is exalted. His splendor is above the earth and the heavens. He is amazing! (-fon-)

As His Sheep

As His Sheep, we need to listen to Him and follow Him. And there’s an assurance that He will be with us. No one can snatch us out of His Hand.
So, again, as His sheep… We need to be good ones, do everything we could to please Him because He has been so good to us. (-fon-)

Pure Joy

Facing trials of many kinds is a part of our life in this world. But to stay in a pure joy while experiencing trials needs an extra effort, needs our faith to develop perseverance.
While this seems like contrarian, but it’s possible to stay in joy even we’re in the midst of stormy life. It might also seem impossible and irrational, but hey, He’s God! He can turn even the most impossible thing into a possible one. Just keep on believing. Just rejoice!
(-fon-)

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.

Scripture is God-breathed

Here’s a reminder for us:

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness
--- 2 Timothy 3:16

Yes, we need to be reminded all over again that the Scripture is God-breathed and will always be a tool for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. May we spend more time in reading God- breathed Scripture and moreover put those words into action. (-fon-)

Don’t be afraid of Temptation

Never be afraid of temptation because God is faithful and He won’t let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. And also He’ll provide a way out so that we can stand up under it.
Temptation will always be there, but we always have God who will be there and help us. (-fon-)

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Light

Recently I read a postcard with these words: “Faith is like electricity. You can’t see it, but you can see the light.”

Maybe in our previous years, we’ve been living in the darkness. But since we’ve found God, He turns our darkness into light. Let’s keep our light on, let’s keep our faith alive.

Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do

that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation
--- 2 Corinthians 5:19

So, stay pure and holy in this world! (-fon-)

Blessed Is the Man…

According to the bible:

Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.

and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season

Be Happy!

In My Paper dated 7th of January, Geoff Tan wrote an interesting article.
He said that his new your resolution is:spreading a little happiness, because happiness is contagious and infectious. You can spread this infectious emotion to the people who may not even know one another. Your happiness can directly elevate the mood of your spouse, children, neighbors, etc.. etc…

The bible says the same thing, if we’re happy, nothing will shake us. So, be happy!

I'll always be happy and never have trouble."

It’s really normal if we make mistakes, because we’re only human. Sometimes we do something wrong unintentionally. But if we know that it’s wrong and we do it anyway (read: intentionally), it’s the time to stop!

Learn to Say "No"

Maybe, some of us are people’s pleasers- who don’t want to disappoint others and tend to follow what they want- and that makes us can’t say "NO".
The verse from Titus today reminds us to say "NO" to ungodliness and worldly passions. We need to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives.
Let those good things be with us always. (-fon-)

Do Not Grieve the Holy Spirit

It’s really hard to stay positive especially when we’re in bitterness, anger, rage. But we must try our best not to grieve the Holy Spirit. We need to learn to be compassionate, kind, forgiving just as in Christ God forgave us.
It’s not easy but we have to learn. (-fon-)
