Give Thanks to the Lord!
If you have too many complaints
towards this world
When you fall down you don't dare to continue walking forward
Why must people be so weak, depraved
I ask you to turn on the TV and see
How many people bravely do their best to continue walking for life
Shouldn't we be content with what we have?
You should cherish everything even if you don't possess it
When you fall down you don't dare to continue walking forward
Why must people be so weak, depraved
I ask you to turn on the TV and see
How many people bravely do their best to continue walking for life
Shouldn't we be content with what we have?
You should cherish everything even if you don't possess it
(Fragrance of Rice (Originally
Dao Xiang)- by Jay Chou)
I always love
this singer. Jay Chou. Song-writer, musician, singer, actor, as well as
director from Taiwan .
He’s a genius musician who started to learn piano at the age of 3. I like his
lyric of songs which are so simple but yet so meaningful. I also like his
originality which is hardly found in writing songs.
The lyric of
his Fragrance of Rice this time, encourage us to stay thankful. Not easily
despair. Morever as Christ’s disciples, it will be very good if we can be
thankful of this life as a gift from the Lord.
In this world
that offers so many temptations, may we never stop in giving thanks to the Lord
and keep our faith in Him.
So many good
things that He has given to us.
The question
is: can we still be grateful for His blessings in our life? (-fon-)
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.
his love endures forever.
--- Psalm 118:29
Bersyukurlah
kepada Tuhan!
Jika kamu terlalu
banyak mengeluh atas dunia ini…
Ketika kamu
terjatuh, kamu tak berani melangkah terus maju…
Mengapa harus begitu
lemah, merusakkan moral?
Kuajak kamu untuk
menyalakan TV dan melihat…
Betapa banyak orang
yang secara berani melakukan yang terbaik untuk melanjutkan kehidupan mereka.
Bukahkah seharusnya
kita bersyukur dengan apa yang kita miliki?
Kamu harus
menghargai segalanya bahkan yang bukan milikmu.
(Terjemahan bebas
dari lagu Fragrance of Rice- Judul aslinya Dao Xiang oleh Jay Chou).
Saya selalu menyukai penyanyi ini. Jay Chou. Penulis lagu,
musisi, penyanyi, aktor, sekaligus sutradara asal Taiwan ini. Dia seorang musisi genius yang mulai belajar
piano di usia 3 tahun. Saya menyukai lirik lagunya yang sederhana namun sarat
makna.
Pertanyaannya: mampukah kita bersyukur atas anugerah-Nya?
(-fon-)
Bersyukurlah
kepada TUHAN, sebab Ia baik! Bahwasanya untuk selama-lamanya kasih setia-Nya.
--- Mazmur
118:29
