Magic
I’d like you to meet Simon the Sorcerer, according to the bible, taken from the Acts.
Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great, and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, "This man is the divine power known as the Great Power." They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his magic. But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
--- Acts 8:9-12
Back to more than 2000 years ago, people had searched for divine power known as Great power. People still look for that kind of power until now, people still search for magic.
We ourselves still look for the magic in each day of our life. Sometimes due to frustration and depression in this life, we want to change everything and thought that it will be wonderful if only everything’s different.
But with God, actually our daily life is also magic. We can see His magical touch in each puzzle of life that we’ve been through. No need to search for any other magic, since we got the real divine power, the real Great Power, that’s His powerful and loving strength for us to face our life with courage and smile.
Can we still see the magic in this ordinary life of ours? Of course we can, as long as we see through the eyes of faith. (-fon-)
