Rich In Good Deeds
Why are we working so hard? Most of the answers are to make more money to get a better living and most likely to be rich.
It’s not a sin to be rich, but it will be good if those who are rich in this world not become arrogant, stay low profile, don’t put too much hope in wealth-which is so uncertain. We need to remember to always put our hope in God and do the good deeds. (1 Timothy 6).
It’s no harm to become rich. But more importantly, are we rich in good deeds? Are we willing to be generous and to share? (-fon-)
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.
---1 Timothy 6:17-18
