Be Discipline

Today’s homily of Sunday mass was very wonderful. Father John-Paul Tan said that pain is a part of this life. It’s the fact. Whether you’re 5 or 75 years old, pain is unavoidable. How true his statements are!
These verses from Hebrews remind us again that what is painful at this moment is most probably God’s tool to discipline us. Our Father in Heaven disciplined us for our good so that we may share in his holiness.
And to tell you the truth, discipline is unpleasant and painful.
But, eventually, we’ll see the result. We’ll see the harvest of the righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
It’s our duty to stay faithful and be discipline while at the same time trust Him that He’s doing everything He could to train us so that we can share His holiness.

Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
--- Hebrews 12:10-11
