TOTD, Sept. 28-30

Be Confident in Jesus

The devil wants you and me to feel so bad about ourselves that we have no confidence in ourselves. But here is the good news: We don't need confidence in ourselves --- we need confidence in Jesus!

Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward.
--- Hebrews 10:35

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Too much confidence in ourselves often makes us proud and boastful. But confidence in Jesus is the other way around. The confidence in Jesus makes us have our full faith in Him by realizing that we're nobody without Him. (-fon-)

Joy in the Will of God

It is vitally important to realize that whatever God calls us to do, He provides enjoyment for. Don't just work --- enjoy your work.

That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.
--- Romans 15:32

My own reflection on this Thought:
* Surrendering our own will and replacing it with God's will sometimes is not easy. It requires the act of submission to God. Thy Will be done.
But once we can see His wonderful will for us in different perspective, we would realize that we'll find joy in it. We'll have a joyful life in His Will. (-fon-)

No Time to Complain

Truly thankful people do not complain. They are too busy being grateful for the good things they do have. They have no time to notice the things they could complain about.

Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
--- John 6:43

My own reflection on this Thought:
* If you complain easily for the time being, trust me, you're not alone. Lots of us who's reading this scripture right now is or was a great complainer.
All we can do is just minimize it and then slowly omit it. Once we can be thankful of His Blessings in our life, then that's the time when we can see: even in the middle of the hopeless situation or the worst thing in our life, we can still see how marvelous His Blessings are! (-fon-)
