Abide in the Word
A person who learns to abide in the Word and let the Word abide in him will have power in prayer. When an individual has power in prayer, he has power over the enemy, Satan.
According to John 8:31,32 to abide means to remain, to continue in, or to dwell in. Abide in the Word, and you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free (v.32).
People who make the Word of God a small part of their lives will know only partial truth and will experience only limited freedom.
Those who abide in it --- who daily read it, confess it, listen to teaching and music tapes that are filled with it --- will know the full truth and will experience complete freedom.
The more you leave your mind unregulated to wander around or become idle, the more the devil will try to fill it. Keep it filled with the Word, and you will have less trouble.
If you live in Me[abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.
--- John 15:7
My own reflection on this Thought:
* To make our mind occupied, it's the best to read the Word and memorize some of it. Let our mind be the CD player of the Word of God, so that it will cast away all the negative thoughts and change it with a new hope in GOD.
Otherwise, we'll be very tired in trying to get out of the bitterness and the wound that come repeteadly in our mind only to bring more hatred and pain..
Fill your mind with God's Word, and you'll see the difference! (-fon-)
