Be Filled with Life

Meditate daily on all the things you have to be thankful for. Rehearse them to the Lord in prayer, and as you do, you will find your heart filling up with life and light.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
--- 1 Thessalonians 5:18

My own reflection on this Thought:
* At night, spend some time to look back to all the good things today. It's important to wear the spectacles of gratefulness, so that we could see all the good things from God. It's important to stay positive in our thoughts... So that every little thing we got, we could give our heartiest thanks to the Lord.
Don't follow this stressful life, be thankful! (-fon-)

The Ministry of the Holy Spirit

As long as we keep trying to do everything ourselves in our own way and in our own strength, we not only frustrate ourselves, we also frustrate the grace of the Holy Spirit, because it is a vital part of His ministry to help and strengthen those who serve the Lord.

As you learn more and more how God works, you will learn how to do your work. We pray that you'll have the strength to stick it out over the long haul --- not the grim strength of gritting your teeth but the glory-strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy, thanking the Father who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that he has for us.
--- Colossians 1:10-12

My own reflection on this Thought:
* It's really interesting to read Colossians 1 above. Especially the part: the strength to endure the unendurable and spill over into joy.
Logically, it's impossible, isn't it?
But the Spirit of God could lead us into it. We'll become a very strong person in God so that we could endure the things that we thought we could never handle it.
It's His Spirit, it's His Strength! Pray for the ministry of the Holy Spirit to empower us always. (-fon-)

" Where Are You, Lord?"

One day a lady was sitting in a boat reading and quoting Psalm 91:11 which promises that the angles of the Lord will take charge of us and defend us and protect us in all our ways.

Just then something happened to the chair she was sitting on, and she fell over and cracked her head on the side of the boat. It hurt so bad her soul leaped up, and she started complaining to God, " I don't understand how this could have happened. Here I was reading and quoting Psalm 91:11 about how You send Your angels to watch over me and protect me, and look what happened! Where are You, Lord?"

Immediately God spoke to her and said, " Well, you're not dead, are you?"

We often become so upset over what happened, we fail to realize what God protected us from.

For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [ of obedience and service].
--- Psalm 91:11

My own reflection on this Thought:
* " Where are You, God?"
Maybe this is the question that you've been questioning recently. Due to so many mishaps in your life, and what you see from your perspective like tragedies in this world, that question often pops up in your mind.
God is not that far.. He's very near indeed.
The problem is, we fail to see what His Plans are!
We'll never know what His Plans are until one by one is being revealed to us.
He's near... All we have to do is just believe that He has planned everything accordingly.
All we have to do is just try our best and keep praying all the way. (-fon-)
