Better to Have Little with Godliness
Money isn’t everything. Wealth isn’t everything either.
Even we’re living in such a materialistic world where everything can be easily measured with money, we need to stay honest.
The verse from the Proverbs today reminds us that it’s better to have little with godliness rather than to be rich and dishonest. But if God grant us with wealth, let us stay to live in godliness too. No matter what financial condition we’re in right now, let’s stay in godliness.(-fon-)
Better to have little, with godliness,
than to be rich and dishonest.
--- Proverbs 16:8
Training for Godliness for Our Life
In order to stay slim and healthy, people will endure hardship to stay in the fitness centre for long hours. Training, weight-lifting, doing some aerobics classes with its variety: tae bo, hip hop, and anything else seemed never enough to burn the calories.
Training in godliness can come in many forms. Sometimes it means we have to endure the hardship in this life. Sometimes that means we choose to love instead of hate even though our heart is broken. Sometimes it asks for great courage even though we’re so scared. In God, we believe that every problem is a blessing in disguised. Things that we haven’t seen now but we believe they are good things in our life. Never scared of godliness training for it will bring goodness in our life. Keep the faith in God. (-fon-)
“Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.”
--- 1 Timothy 4:8
True Godliness is Great Wealth
The Bible reminds us that true godliness combined with contentment is a great wealth. Try to seek for it and try to be grateful for everything He has already granted in our life. (-fon-)
Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.
