Reconciliation
It's not easy to reconcile. Lots of problems left unsolved and lots of people built anger and hatred towards others.
I myself find it not easy to forgive others. Especially the ones that's close to us. Our family. Many times we forgive others easily. When strangers step on our toes and say sorry, we then forgive them just like that.
How about our spouse, our parents or our parents in laws, our brothers/sisters, or our children when they make mistakes?
Will the reconciliation be so simple? Or we take them as a granted?
The Word of God today asks us to reconcile. We need to forgive others especially our loved ones. We need to ask His Mercy on us so that we could be more merciful towards others.
Not easy and it might need a life-time struggle to achieve that. But, it's really worth to try.
The reconciliation will benefit us the most. We will have a peaceful heart.
Ask God for more mercy. Ask Him to make us more merciful. (-fon-)
Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, Leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.
