Kingdom of God

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,

Yes, the kingdom of God is not merely a matter of eating and drinking alone but also how live our life in righteousness with the fullness of peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (-fon-)

The Kingdom is Within You

Sometimes we just don’t realize that the kingdom of God is within us. If only we search with all of our heart, we’ll find it eventually. (-fon-)

nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you."

God Rules All Kingdoms of the Nations

and said:
"O LORD, God of our fathers, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you.

God rules all kingdoms of the nations. Power, might are in His hands and no one can withstand Him. Put your trust in the Lord, the Kingdom of God will last forever until eternity. (-fon-)

Live by Truth

Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

Live by truth and come into the light, because God is the brightest light that exists. Get nearer to Him and even though this world full of darkness, we still can be the light because we know the source of light-the source of love, the Lord Himself. (-fon-)

TOTD, Sept. 28- Seek His Kingdom

Seek His Kingdom

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

If we forgot while putting every single plan of ours ontop of the Lord Himself, let’s be reminded today that there’s nothing more important than to seek His Kingdom and His righteousness first. (-fon-)

Hope for the Future

Sometimes, we’re afraid of our future. We’re scared that things might go wrong or don’t go according to our plans. Sometimes, with so many failures that we’ve already experienced, we then have a doubt about future. What if next time we fail again? But, we need to remember that there’s hope in our future. Put our hope and trust in the Lord, so He will show us His wonderful plans for us. (-fon-)

So there is hope for your future,"
declares the LORD.
"Your children will return to their own land.

Strength and Power from Him

He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

When you feel weak and weary, remember that God will give us enough strength and power to carry on in this life. (-fon-)

Lord is My Helper

Even though we’ve been through the worst time of our life, even though our present situation seemed impossible, we believe that the Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. (-fon-)

So we say with confidence,
"The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?"

TOTD, Sept.24 – Persevere

Persevere

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

Perseverance is something that we need in this life. We need it to face the problems, the ups and downs in our life, we need it in our faith. And we believe that eventually for those who persevere, will receive God’s promises. (-fon-)

TOTD, Sept. 23 – Accept One Another

Accept One Another

Maybe this is very hard to do. Maybe you’ll ask, why should I accept those people who treated me badly?

But, we’re all unique and different, there’s no way to make us similar or the same from head to toe with others. Even the twins are different. The way they dress, the food they like (craving for), are not quite the same. To accept one another needs a hard-work. Needs a heart that’s willing to accept the fact that we are different. But yet, Christ has accepted us. Now, it’s our turn to try to accept others with their uniqueness. (-fon-)

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

A Prayer for All of Us Today

Here’s my prayer for each and everyone of us today:

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

His Faithfulness All Seasons of Our Life

Be glad, O people of Zion,
rejoice in the LORD your God,
for he has given you
the autumn rains in righteousness.
He sends you abundant showers,
both autumn and spring rains, as before.

Maybe you’re trapped in the middle of a problem right now. And you’re wondering, “God, where are You? Will You stay with me forever?”. While reading the verse above, I’m just being reminded that God is faithful. He’ll send showers both autumn and spring rains. Summer’s sun and winter’s breeze. He’s faithful in all season of our life. (-fon-)

About Talking

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

It’s a really good advice from the bible to choose what is helpful for building others up to come out of our mouth. But we all know it’s not easy to control our tongue and whatever comes out of our mouth. Really, we need to be discipline in every area including our talking. (-fon-)

Living Our Faith

A SIGNIFICANT PART of our faith is how we live it out daily, for our actions and our lifestyles witness to the true faith we hold. Somehow in our upbringing, many Western Christians have missed the critical link between faith and lifestyle. Faith should express itself in what we eat, how we spend our time, how we entertain ourselves, and how we spend our money. There must be a connection between our faith and our daily economic habits.

It’s a good thing to have faith, but it would be better if we could put our faith into actions which shows in our daily life. (-fon-)

God’s Grace

“God loved us, and through his grace he gave us a good hope and encouragement that continues forever.” 2 Thessalonians 2:17

His love and His grace for us will give us enough hope to live in this world till eternity with Him. (-fon-)

Sing and Glorify His Name

Sing to the LORD a new song;
sing to the LORD, all the earth.

Sing to the LORD, praise his name;
proclaim his salvation day after day.

Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all peoples

Sing a new song to the lord. Sing and praise His name. Proclaim His salvation forever. He’s the Lord now and forever. (-fon-)

He Wont’ Grow Tired

You said, “ I’m sooo tired of this life.” You might say, “ I’m sick of it.”

Well, it’s normal to feel tired once in a while in our life. Take a rest, relax, make a journey that can soothe your mind and soul, then you’ll find a new energy in this life. It’s just so human to feel tired, but it’s not an excuse to stay in that feeling for a long time.

Then, I remembered this verse:

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

Yes, we might grow tired, but He won’t. We might grow weary, but He won’t. That’s why we need to cling of Him because He’s the everlasting God. (-fon-)

God is Love

Admit that we’ve had some anger, hatred, pain, and bitterness. Bring them all to the Lord and be sure that He can heal us. Because God is love. With His unconditional love, nothing is too hard to heal. (-fon-)

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.

Fight the Good Fight of Faith

But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith.

We need to fight the good fight of faith and make Him proud. As we fight a good fight till the end, we need to pursue virtues and values that show that we’re a good Christians. (-fon-)

In Harmony

Let’s live in harmony with one another, like what the Bible has reminded us:

Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble.

He Teaches and Directs Us

The Lord will teach us what’s best for us. He will also direct us in the way we should go. As long as we put our trust in Him and open our heart to His plans for us, we’ll see that everything will be beautiful in His time. (-fon-)

This is what the LORD says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
"I am the LORD your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.

Teach Me to do Your Will

Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God;
may your good Spirit
lead me on level ground.

Yes, Lord… Teach me to do Your will, for you are my God. It won’t be easy, but as long as I want to try my best, I’m sure You can lead me and show me the way. (-fon-)

Help Us to Pray

ON THE PALM OF YOUR HAND you write my name, O God.
Through the pages of creation, my life unfolds.
In the chambers of your heart, I have a home, O God,
where every cry is heard, every tear seen,

whispered in the dark or sung to the morning
is known to you.
And still, I am slow to thank, to ask, to trust.
O God, who is great and good,

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.

There are times that we don’t even know how to pray. Maybe we’re very sad, depressed, not enough words can describe our feelings. But Our God is able to help us to pray. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit that will help us in our weakness, the Spirit will help us to communicate those unspeakable words. Blessed is the Man…

"But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,

whose confidence is in him.

He will be like a tree planted by the water

that sends out its roots by the stream.

It does not fear when heat comes;

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord who puts his confidence and faith in Him. So, let’s put our trust in the Lord, build our faith and getting closer to Him. Trust Him that He is the one and only Lord who will be with us forever. Amen.
