His Correction in Our Life

We all make mistakes. And if we make some mistakes, every now and then, God will correct us.
According to the bible, blessed is the man whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. Try to be thankful instead. (-fon-)

Blessed is the man whom God corrects;
so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.

Showed His Love

How you show your love to your loved ones? Especially in Valentine’s Day, Anniversaries, or your special one’s birthday, you’ll be very busy: buying presents, preparing special lunch or dinner for that day, birthday cakes, flowers, etc… etc…
But more than that, love needs forgiveness, decision and commitment to stay in love, no matter how bad the condition has changed.

As God’s children, this verse reminds me that nothing compares to God’s generosity in terms of showing His love.
He has sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.
Let’s treasure His biggest gift of love ever! (-fon-)

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

He Brings us Joy

Living in this life make me used to see some anxieties come and go. Actually those anxieties aren’t permanent. They will change every time. We need to remember that the one who has always been faithful is God. He has never changed and He never will.
And let’s start to look at every anxiety with joy, knowing that His consolation will bring joy to our life. (-fon-)

When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought joy to my soul.

Seek With All Your Heart

If we want to seek God and find Him, we need to seek Him wholeheartedly. With all our heart.
And actually, He’s very near. He’s not that far. As long as we keep concentrate on seeking Him with all our heart, we will find Him. (-fon-)

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

We Walk By Faith

We need to walk by faith in this life. And believe in Him even though we haven’t seen any progress in our problems. Still we need to trust Him. (-fon-)

(For we walk by faith, not by sight.)

Keep on Hoping in Him

God will guard everyone who seeks Him with all his/her heart. And for those who keep on hoping in Him. (-fon-)

You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.

Be Satisfactory to Him

Again, with faith and by faith only, we can reach the satisfaction in Him. Without faith it’s impossible to do so. Let’s build our faith to reach satisfaction and joyful in Him.
(-fon-)

But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and deligently seek Him [out].

Learn to be Patience

The testing of faith produces patience. In everyday of our life, we might experience something that seemed as a test of our faith. It distracts us and triggers us to get angry and impatience. What we need to do is just learn to be patience. It’s not easy, but according to the bible, if patience has its perfect work, we may be perfect and complete. Lacking nothing. (-fon-)

Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

God Lives In Us

God loves us. There’s no doubt about it.
And the bible encourages us to love one another, that’s when we know that God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
Only by loving one another, we can keep this love from God alive in our life. (-fon-)

Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

You are worthy, Lord.
You are worthy, God.
To receive glory and honor and power; for all the things you’ve done. For all the creation that comes from your hands.
Yes, you’re worthy. Let me praise you with all my heart, with all my life. (-fon-)

You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,

Nothing Should Separate Us from His Love

Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword separate us from the love of Christ?
The answer is NO.

Some of us might think that hardship comes from God, but actually we need to see with a different perspective. Troubles or hardship are supposed to bring us closer to God. Because we know that those things will only bring us a mature-self in Him. He loves us so much. So, stay near to His love. (–fon-)

Don’t Worry About Tomorrow

May these verses give us strength to fight our anxieties and worries, because God knows everything we need. All we need to do is just seeking His kingdom and His righteousness first.
(-fon-)

So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

True God

Some people will search somewhere, somehow, for one true God. The search itself maybe a short or a long one, depends on the journey of faith that he/she has to take.
Just count ourselves lucky, because we have found one true God and eternal life in Jesus Christ, our Lord. That’s why we need to treasure Him so much. (-fon-)

We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true—even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
--- 1 John 5:20

I Knew You

Interesting to read this verse from Jeremiah 1. It really shows that our God knows us so well. Even before He formed us in the womb, “ I knew you, “ says the Lord.
He really wants us to be in this world. Our presence in this world isn’t so- called accidental or coincidental. He has a purpose for each of us in this world. He knows us very very well. He wants us to fill this world with a difference. So, let’s make a difference- a great one! (-fon-)

So In Love

The mood of love in Valentine’s day asks me to go further to the real essence of love. The love of God. God so loved the world that He gave His only Son. That’s the real love, that’s the true and unconditional love.

In spite of all the mood of love in this Valentine’s Day, let’s go back to the real love. That He really loves us. He really loved the world. He’s still so in love with us. Let’s treasure His love. (-fon-)

All About Love

It’s getting nearer to Valentine’s Day. It’s a day of love and it’s all about love.
Many people will celebrate this day with sweets, chocolates, romantic candle light dinners, diamonds, etc… etc…
But, is that all? Is that enough? We need to dig further and deeper about the meaning of love. Let’s be reminded by 1 Corinthians 13:6-7. Love always protects-trusts-hopes-perseveres.
So, despite all of the physical preparation of Valentine’s day, let’s prepare more on the heart. Let’s try to love unconditionally. (-fon-)

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with tambourine and dancing,

Love Your Enemies and Pray for Them

For each of us who has been struggling with this problem: how to love our enemy, here’s a reminder from the bible. Some wonderful verses as follows:

"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
--- Matthew 5:43-48

God wants us not only to love our enemies, but also pray for them. He has shown what is fair in His eyes: give the sun rise to all good and bad people, send the rain equally to the righteous and the unrighteous. We need to try once more to forgive those who have hurt us. This is not an easy task, but it’s mission possible with God. (-fon-)

The Work of God

This is an interesting conversation that can be found in John 9.

As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?"
"Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.
--- John 9:1-3

If something goes wrong, people surely will try to find out, whose fault is this? In the verses above, the disciples asked Jesus whose fault was that? The blind man’s or the parent’s?
We need to learn to answer like Jesus that it’s nobody’s fault. It’s just the magical hands of God is at work. So that the work of God might be displayed in this life.
So, if anything goes wrong right now, we got to believe that God is at work. And we’ll wait for the beauty of the work of God to show its face once again in this life. (-fon-)

Pursuing Righteousness and Love

What should we pursue in this life? Most of us will pursue money. It will be on top of the list for sure. I’d like to say that money is important, but it’s not the most important thing in this world.
Then what’s next? People will also pursue a better career, a better car, a better house, etc… etc…

We need to be reminded that the bible asks us to pursue righteousness and love, because in them we’ll find life, prosperity, and honor. (-fon-)

He who pursues righteousness and love
finds life, prosperity and honor.

Have You Understood Much?

This verse reminds me that I haven’t understood much of God. Sometimes we thought that we know Him and understand Him, but may times, we don’t understand the work of His hands. All we need to do, says the Bible, just love Him truly with all our heart, with all affectionate reverence, prompt obedience and grateful recognition. So, have you understood much? Or have you love Him much? (-fon-)
(-fon-)

If anyone imagines that he has come to know and understand much [of divine things, without love], he does not yet perceive and recognize and understand as strongly and clearly, nor has he become as intimately acquainted with anything as he ought or as is necessary.
But if one loves God truly [with affectionate reverence, prompt obedience, and grateful recognition of His blessing], he is known by God [recognized as worthy of His intimacy and love, and he is owned by Him].

You’ll Never Know

You think you knew how much God loves you. But, really we don’t know. Because we think of God’s love with our own thoughts. We thought we knew God will love us like this or like that.
Let’s see the verse below:

However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him

Each of us will never know what God has prepared for us. But we need to be sure that it will be something special, because He loves us so much. No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what He has promised and prepared for us. Just believe in Him. (-fon-)

Blessed Hope

Interesting verses from Titus:

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ
